Four years ago, we changed the football media landscape forever and, today, a new chapter begins in our story. Following Dugout’s acquisition by OneFootball, we are once again reshaping the industry and now form the world’s largest D2C and B2B football media business.
In 2016, 10 of the world’s biggest football clubs came together to form a fresh and drastically different proposition to uniquely work at the center of the football ecosystem. From inception, Dugout has pushed traditional boundaries and driven digital transformation across the football industry.
Working hand-in-hand with our founding member clubs, we quickly gained a foothold in the marketplace. We were rapidly joined by more clubs, leagues and federations that shared the same desire to give their fans better access and insights into the teams they so passionately support. Now, with more than 125 valued partners from all the world’s major leagues, Dugout represents a united commitment from its stakeholders to continue as a transformation agent in the industry.
From a small team in our first office in London we have grown, and it is through these talented people over the years, showcasing industry-leading work, that Dugout has continued to expand over the past four years. From Latin America to SEA, Europe to Africa and China, we are a recognized global presence.
Fans are the lifeblood of the sport we all love. They fuel the passion. A passion we all share. We focused on the fans first, watching, listening and understanding the content they were consuming, when, why and how. We built our business around them, producing exclusive content and ensuring it was available where they wanted it.
From three publishers in two countries, we now share some of the world’s most dynamic content to more than 120 of the world’s most influential media outlets across 33 countries. Our video views have increased YOY by 326% and we have helped more than 500 brands reach a highly engaged audience consuming over 5.3 million hours of football content a month.
