New Free to Play and Pay to Play competitions will further increase member clubs’ commercial gamified offering to Dugout’s global fanbase.
London, UK – 24 June 2020: Dugout has today launched Dugout Play – a premium competitions initiative that will give football fans the chance to win amazing prizes.
With more than one million unique users and 2.5 million competition entries since 2019, Dugout’s interactive games, now forming part of the new Dugout Play, will help Dugout’s global community of football clubs deliver new and creative competition offerings growing their digital fan base.
Through competitions which are even more engaging than ever before, and on top of giving fans the chance to win exciting prizes, including exclusive signed shirts, experiences and memorabilia, Dugout Play brings greater levels of interactivity and engagement.
Dugout’s monetised and gamified offering is set to give fans unique prizes – providing the world’s largest clubs with an even greater understanding of their digital fan base and delivering new revenue streams.
Dugout’s unique position connecting international fans and clubs has shown that 80% of all competition entrants enter to win prizes from clubs other than the one they support. Therefore, through competition initiatives, clubs can expand their reach beyond their existing supporter base. This method to grow engagement with new fans, facilitated by Dugout Play, will enable clubs to increase international awareness and paint a more global picture of consumption patterns.
Dugout’s founding member clubs, including Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, have all launched competitions through Dugout Play to date. Additionally, Inter Milan, Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais, Tottenham Hotspur, AS Monaco, Corinthians, FC Porto, Crystal Palace, Stoke City, Napoli, Sampdoria, Tigres, FC Nantes, Everton and Derby County have also ran competitions. A host of Dugout’s 100 plus member clubs will be launching further premium competition platforms in the coming months.
